Bold School: Vilner Design Gets up Close and Personal with the SL
Bulgaria based Vilner Studios has been known to do some pretty impressive work on vehicles not commonly done in the tuning world; Saturn Sky, Land Rover Defender, etc. Recently they pulled off an impressive piece for a client who wanted his 1971 Mercedes SL roadster to be less old man looking.
Getting down and dirty with a classic SL is never an easy task, but when approached by a client looking to for some sprucing, there was no way they would have turned it down. The outside is finished with matte mocha accents for details like the wheels and racing decals.
On the inside, the same dark mocha was used in abundance covering the seats, door panels, dashboard and other minor details accenting a lighter, creme-colored center console and side panels. The seats and doors were given a luxurious diamond quilted pattern, and as a final touch, the client requested Vilner to add 'Gentle Pagoda' labels inside and out. It looks like grandpa's got one sweet ride.
