Unveiled: Steampunk Mini Countryman by Carlex Design
For those of you who don't know what Steampunk is we'll give you a quick rundown. Some hipsters get together, wear brown and pretend to be in an H.G. Wells novel. While that sounds good and all, we know you're plagued with the age old question, what would a Steampunker drive? Well Carlex Design out of Poland seems to have the answer. A Copper plated Mini Countryman of course. The outside comes with a satin grey exterior finished in some Steampunk-ish copper coated wheels, side vents and even door handles. Carlex also gave the headlights and taillights the blacked out treatment, adding more contrast to the paint job.
While the outside is strange/cool enough, the interior is pretty much the definition of Steampunk. Step inside and you would imagine yourself to be in a '60s sci-fi movie time machine; copper and brown coat every inch of this retro-mobile from the steering wheel to the cluster gauges. Even the carpets are replaced with a classic wood finish. To top it off, Carlex added some see-through bits on the steering wheel and front seats to mimic skeleton watches synonymous with the Steampunk movement.
