Unveiled: The Mazda MX-5 Yusho is Supercharged Fun
Making an appearance at the 2012 Leipzig Motor Show, Mazda has yet again debuted a pair of special edition MX-5s including the supercharged Yusho concept. As if the MX-5 wasn't fun enough, Mazda turned to the Flyin' Miata tuning house for a supercharger kit. The standard 2.0L can now give an output of 241-hp and a top speed of 149 mph. Along with this Mazda threw in a new engine management system paired with a new set of fuel injectors and free flowing exhausts. The sport clutch handles all the power pushing it onto a six-speed manual transmission.
To give more of a special edition look to the standard model Mazda wrapped the Yusho's body in a matte white film and added dark alloy wheels finished in Toyo racing tires. A gloss black rear diffuser and front grille also adds a nice touch. These two models will run in limited numbers and will add to the growing lineup of MX-5 special editions to send off the current generation in style. See more of the Mazda MX-5 Yusho Concept here
