BMW Zagato Coupe is Straight Fire

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous. We can’t think of any other way to describe it. BMW has conspired with famed coachbuilder Zagato to create the BMW Zagato Coupe, and it’s stunning. BMW chose the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, arguably the king of the Concourse circuit, to unveil this stunning concept. The term “concept” is used loosely, as this car is a runner, and is registered for road use in Germany. We’re not getting a ton of information at the moment in terms of specs, but it does not require this author’s expansive automotive intellect to deduce that it’s likely based on the Z4 roadster. It’s rare that BMW reaches outside of its corporate walls to design a concept, but it has happened before. The list of coachbuilt Bimmers is short, but includes the 1962 3200 Bertone, and the Guigardo-penned M1 supercar. The Zagato Coupe is the latest addition to the list, and is as bold- if not more so- than any of BMW’s previous Italian-designed projects.
