Unveiled: 2012 Audi RS Q3 Concept
At the upcoming Beijing Auto Show, Audi will officially unveil the RS Q3 crossover. It's a little SUV that's got a 355HP 5-cylinder engine powering all the wheels. When we first heard that a new concept from Audi wearing the RS badge had less than 400 horses, we were a bit surprised. But as we dug in, it started to get really interesting. Audi has managed to create a pretty impressive 2.5L engine that'll drink less at the pump. By properly combining two of their technologies; fuel injection and turbo charging, the RS Q3 will do 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and can hit over 160MPH. At this point, the RS Q3 pictured here is purely conceptual and to further their "theme of thrilling dynamic performance" they've lowered it, widened it, painted it a special blue and tricked it out with some carbon fiber and big fat tires. And of course the crossover features the iconic RS honeycomb grille and oval exhausts.
It'll be interesting to see how the world reacts to when it's officially unveiled next week in China. Click here for more on the 2012 Audi RS Q3 Concept
