Unveiled: 2012 Easter Safari Jeeps
Celebrating the 46th annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, Jeep and Mopar teamed up to create six new vehicles. The Easter Jeep Safari is held for "die-hard off-road enthusiasts looking to enjoy a week of wheeling on some of the country’s most renowned and challenging trails." Anytime Jeep and Mopar create vehicles the outcome is pretty bad-ass. Jeep and Mopar began creating one-off concept vehicles in 2002. Since then there have been more than 30 different vehicles created for the Easter Jeep Safari. Here is a breakdown of the six new rides for the 2012 Easter Jeep Safari. Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept Visually this white Grand Cherokee looks squatty and tough. This SUV steps it up a level, the aggressive Grand Cherokee is durable and ready for some off-roading. The Trailhawk concept has 18-inch Goodyear off-road SilentArmor tires to help reduce off-road noise and enhance durability. Red, black and grey colors highlight the accents of the Trailhawk concept. Jeep J-12 Concept
Mopar recently introduced the JK-8 pickup conversion for the Jeep Wrangler. The J-12 concept is an extended version of the JK-8. Starting with the basic 2012 Wrangler, the frame was extended 18-inches. This concept’s cargo area measures up to six feet in total. The front of the J-12 Concept has a unique look featuring custom front fenders and hood. See more of the J-12 Concept here.
Jeep Mighty FC Concept
Starting with the 2012 Wrangler Rubicon the design team went to work. The Mighty FC concept has an extended wheelbase, a modified front axel and a custom drop-side style bed cargo area measuring more than eight feet in length. Not only is the exterior bold, the interior is as well; it features Katzkin heavy-duty leather. See more on the Mighty FC Concept here.
Jeep Wrangler Mopar
With over 250 accessories offered for the 2012 Wrangler from Mopar, there are endless ways to make the wrangler unique. The Wrangler Mopar is made for the off-road. Based off the Rubicon model, the Wrangler Mopar features a performance lift kid, off-road bumpers, 35-inch Goodyear tires. This is an ultra off-roading vehicle. See more on the Wrangler Mopar here.
Jeep Wrangler Traildozer Concept
The American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) engineering team worked closely with Jeep to bring the Traildoer Concept to life. Beginning with the Wrangler Rubicon the design teams increased the output power by installing the HEMI V8 engine. This concept features protection for the toughest trails. New bumpers, guards, a Mopar performance head reduction hood and more were added to the Traildozer. See more on the Wrangler Traildozer Concept here.

Jeep Wrangler Apache The Apache is a new HEMI V8 powered Wrangler thanks to Mopar. The V8 conversion kit, specifically for the Jeep Wrangler will be available summer 2012. Mopar’s new conversion kit gives Wrangler fanatics more power, approximately 470 horses. Visual and efficient modifications have been added as well including half-door kits, rock rails, high-clearance flat fenders, Mopar branded interior and more. See more on the Wrangler Apache here.
