Aston Martin x Bowmore's £140k one-off whisky heads to Sotheby's
The ARC-52 decanter features a carbon fibre top inspired by the traditional Japanese metalworking technique of Mokume Gane.
Along with producing some of the most luxurious and powerful supercars, the Aston Martin brand also represents status and lifestyle. Through carefully curated collaborations with other leading brands, the UK-based manufacturer continues to diversify its portfolio with new luxury products.
Aston Martin is proud to reveal its newest lifestyle release with its longtime whisky partners at Bowmore Distillery. The new Aston Martin x Bowmore ARC-52: The 'Mokume Edition' is a one-off collector piece that will be presented at Sotheby’s auction in London. ARC-52: The 'Mokume Edition' is an exceptional 52-year-old rare vintage single-malt blend bottled in a decanter designed by Aston Martin.
The decanter features a carbon fibre construction inspired by Aston Martin’s most intense performance cars, including the Valkyrie hypercar and AMR23 Formula 1 racecar.
The concept for this one-off edition takes its name from the Japanese metalworking technique ‘Mokume-Gane’, which produces a mixed-metal material with distinctive layered patterns.
The Bowmore ARC-52 Mokume Edition will be available exclusively from Sotheby's on 26th May, with a sale estimate of £140,000-220,000. Proceeds will be donated to The Bowmore Legacy, a long-term, dedicated project to support the employability, training, and housing needs of Bowmore’s young people.
The winning bidder will have the opportunity to enjoy an experience at Bowmore Distillery and get behind the wheel of the limited-edition Aston Martin DBX Bowmore Edition while on the property. View all current Aston Martin DBX examples for sale on duPont REGISTRY by clicking the link below.
