DJ BBQ will take music and meals to festival in the U.K. this summer.
When summer's warm weather arrives, many people enjoy the season by firing up a grill and listening to music outside with friends. Renault's custom "catertainment" van combines all of this fun into a single party-ready vehicle. The one-off Master Chassis Cab for chef Christian Stevenson, who also goes by the name DJ BBQ, goes on tour of festivals in the United Kingdom this summer.
The van has everything you need to throw a rocking cookout. For some excellent tunes, it features a DJ booth, and a speaker box rises out of the roof to make sure everyone hears the music. There are also flame-shooting cannons, which should get people's attention. To make sure partygoers are well fed, there's a fully equipped kitchen inside, including a large griddle. DJ BBQ hauls around a massive cooking rig on a boat trailer, too.
Stevenson is part of Jamie Oliver's Food Tube network online, and he posts meaty videos there weekly. He is traveling in the party-prepped van this summer, including stops at Jimmy’s Beer & Sausage Festival, Camp Bestival, Big Feastival, Meatopia, and On Blackheath. You can take a tour of DJ BBQ's custom Renault in the video above. It sounds like a fun way to get a bite to eat.
