The Autobot known as Drift will return to the silver screen as a Mercedes-AMG GT R. Director Michael Bay revealed today that the modified GT R will be featured in Transformers: The Last Knight. Drift previously appeared in Transformers films in the form of a Bugatti Veyron.

In the movie, the AMG GT R will wear black paint with red accent stripes and new wheels. It’s a very different – and more sinister – look than the bright-green version of the new German sports car introduced in June. Though the Transformers edition may have a few modifications up its sleeve, the regular Mercedes-AMG GT R delivers a 577-horsepower wallop thanks to a tweaked 4.0-liter biturbo V-8 engine. The car also has new gear ratios for its seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, carbon fender flares, functional active aerodynamics, a lightweight exhaust, and new wheels with sticky tires.

Other vehicular stars for the next entry in the explosion-filled movie series include Barricade, a Ford Mustang that’s been extensively modified to look like the meanest cop car you’ve ever seen. Its unofficial motto? “To punish and enslave,” according to director Bay. Also keep your eyes peeled for a redesigned version of Bumblebee. Though the iconic Transformer will still be a black-and-yellow Chevrolet Camaro, this version has been extensively modified with carbon-fiber exterior parts.

The regular Mercedes-AMG GT R will reach U.S. dealers by the middle of next year, around the same time that Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
