Upgraded model runs from 0-62 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds.

B&B Automobiltechnik has introduced its new tuning program for the Audi RS3.

The Stage 1 program costs $2,210 (€1,950) and includes an optimized ECU which enables the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine to produce 430 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque.

The $3,345 (€2,950) Stage 2 package goes one step further as it includes an optimized air intake.  Thanks to this change, the output climbs to 450 hp and 483 lb-ft of torque.

Buyers with larger bank accounts will want to check out the Stage 3 package which costs $9,012 (€7,950).  It includes all the aforementioned modifications as well as a high-performance intercooler, a sports exhaust system, and an upgraded ECU.  This enables the hatchback to produce 485 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

Last but not least, the range-topping Stage 4 package costs $20,348 (€17,950) and includes a larger turbocharger, a racing exhaust system, and free flow metal catalysts.  The package also includes a high-pressure fuel pump, an upgraded oil cooling system, and an assortment of other upgrades.  These changes enable the engine to produce 550 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.

The latter package allows the car to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 186 mph.

B&B Automobiltechnik: Up to 550 hp and 750 Nm from the Audi RS3 8V
With more than 30 years of experience tuning premium cars behind them, the
engineers at B&B Automobiltechnik from Siegen have completed their
performance upgrade programme for the Audi RS3 8V.

In standard form, the RS3 8V boasts 367 hp and 465 Nm of torque from its
multiple award winning 2.5 litre TFSI five-cylinder engine. Over four stages of
tune, B&B increase the output of this charismatic motor to an all time high of 550
hp, with 750 Nm of torque.

The 0-100 km/h sprint drops from the standard 4.3 sec to a supercar baiting 3.3
sec, while the 0-200 km/h time is dramatically slashed from 16.1 sec to just 11.8
sec. And as part of the ECU remap, the normal 250 km/h or optional 280 km/h
top speed limiter is removed, allowing the B&B Stage 4 RS3 to exceed 300 km/h.
The B&B performance upgrade programme begins with Stage 1 (1,950 euro),
which sees a remap of the fuel and ignition curves, and an increase in boost
pressure of 0.2 bar to achieve 430 hp and 620 Nm.

Stage 2, with 450 hp and 655 Nm (2,950 euro), is attained through the
optimisation of the air intake system in conjunction with an appropriate fuel,
ignition remap, and a boost pressure increase of around 0.25 bar over stock.
The Stage 3 conversion (7,950 euro), achieving 485 hp and 700 Nm,
encompasses the Stage 2 air intake mods to which are added an in-house highperformance
intercooler and a free flow sports exhaust system. The ECU is then
remapped to maximise performance.

To extract 550 hp and 750 Nm with their Stage 4 conversion (17,950 euro) the
B&B engineers swapped out the factory turbocharger for a larger bespoke unit.
This is matched with a race exhaust system with free flow metal catalysts, along
with a high-pressure fuel pump, and an uprated oil cooler system. Finally, all the
forced air induction paths and the ECU were optimised for the new hardware.
All four stages of B&B’s performance upgrades include adaptation of the dualclutch
transmission for the appropriate performance level, along with deletion of
the factory Vmax limiter.

To reduce exhaust back-pressure and exhaust gas temperature, B&B offers a
bespoke downpipe and sports catalyst (from 1,950 euro). With a larger cross
section and reshaped guide tube, this downpipe greatly improves gas flow,
resulting in a power increase of approximately 15 hp / 11 kW.

To improve the five-cylinder soundtrack, B&B offers both a sports exhaust (from
1,495 euro) as well as a sports exhaust with high-flow catalyst (from 1,950 euro).
Additionally, B&B offer a race exhaust system with metal catalytic converter (from
3,950 euro). This releases an additional 20 hp / 15 kW while reducing the thermal
load on the engine and turbocharger.

B&B recommends its thermostatically controlled additional oil cooler system
(1,295 euro) for all its engines upgrade stages. This features greater surface area
and significantly increased flow for a reduction in oil temperature of up to 25
degrees C, and is part of the Stage 4 upgrade package.

To optimise the handling, roadholding and the appearance of the Audi RS3, B&B
recommends their sport spring set (398 euro), which lowers the ride height by 30
mm and 20 mm front and respectively.

For the keener driver, the B&B/KW V3 fully adjustable coilover suspension (from
1,849 euro) features user adjustable ride height as well as individually adjustable
bounce and rebound control for the dampers. As a KW Performance Partner B&B

The latest addition to the B&B RS3 8V upgrade programme is a highperformance
brake system (from 3,995 euro), which significantly improves
stopping performance. The 396 mm vented discs used on the front axle are
compatible with the factory 19-inch Audi RS3 wheels.

To fill the wheel arches and give the RS3 a beefier stance, B&B recommend their
B10 style alloy wheels (3,498 euro) in 8.5x20-inch size all round, shod with
235/30ZR20 tyres.
