Game will feature a mix of road and race cars.
Sony and Polyphony Digital have announced Gran Turismo Sport will be released on November 15th, 2016.
Available exclusively on PlayStation 4, the latest installment of the Gran Turismo series is being billed as the "world’s first racing experience to be built from the ground up to bring global, online competitions sanctioned by the highest governing body of international motorsports, the FIA (Federation International Automobile)."
Specifics are light at the moment but the company says gamers will be able to compete in multiple racing classes including "GT3, Prototype, Rally, and more." The companies are also promising better graphics, unique race cars, and several new tracks including the Northern Isle Speedway.
Customers can begin pre-ordering the game today and those who do will receive a three car package that includes a Ford Mustang Group B rally car, a Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3 race car, and the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1. Certain retailers will also include additional bonus such as a $500,000 in-game credit from Amazon and two bonus cars from GameStop.
Buyers looking for something more exclusive can order the GT Sport Limited Edition package. It costs $69.99 and includes immediate access to cars within various race classes, a million dollars worth of in-game credits, and a limited edition packaging.
