The 2017 Audi lineup is gaining additional standard equipment and several new options.
Audi of America has announced a series of updates for the 2017 model year.
First and foremost, the company has announced a series of minor changes to the 2017 Audi A5/S5 Coupe and Cabriolet. Since the models will be redesigned shortly, the A5 Coupe and Cabrio gain a newly standard S line competition plus exterior, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and front / rear parking sensors. The A5 can also be equipped with a newly optional Convenience package which adds heated front seats, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, and a passive entry system. There's also an upgraded Black optic package which now includes gloss black exterior accents and 19-inch alloy wheels with a gloss black finish.
The 2017 Audi A6 gains a newly standard S line exterior package with 18-inch alloy wheels. There's also a new A6 3.0T competition model features a Valcona leather sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, red brake calipers, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Power is provided by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine which produces 340 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. It sends power to all four wheels thanks to a quattro all-wheel drive system with a rear sport differential.
Moving on the 2017 A7, drivers will find an improved smartphone interface, a standard Bose surround sound system, and restyled 19-inch alloy wheels. There's also a new A7 3.0T competition model as well as a Premium Plus trim package.
The A8 largely carries over but the model will now be available exclusively as a long-wheelbase sedan. The A8 L with the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine also comes standard with a new Sport exterior styling package.
On the crossover front, the 2017 Q3 gains a new Premium variant which comes standard with 12-way power front seats, a panoramic sunroof, LED taillights, and LED daytime running lights. The Premium Plus variant also gains additional standard equipment including power folding mirrors and a power liftgate.
The 2017 Q5 boasts minor changes including an upgraded 3.0T Prestige variant with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and an Audi drive select system. Likewise, the SQ5 Prestige gains a dynamic steering system and a newly optional Black optic plus package which adds a matte black rear diffuser and high-gloss black exterior accents.
Last but not least, the 2017 TT gains a rearview camera and auto-dimming side mirrors. The TT and TTS can also be equipped with a Black optic package which adds a black grille surround, black mirror caps and unique alloy wheels.
