This is one hot Murciélago.
An auto dealership employee in England has probably driven his last supercar after he crashed his company’s Lamborghini Murciélago, which caused it to burst into flames. Making matters worse, the guy tested positive for being three times over the limit for cocaine. You can see the burning Lambo in the video below.
Cary Atkins was driving the Murciélago in Essex when he crashed into railings on the other side of the road. “I think I must have put my foot down too hard on the pedal and I lost control,” he said, according to The Daily Mail.
Atkins admitted to the court that he “had a heavy night” the evening before the crash, but he thought enough drugs were out of his system to drive legally. The police at the scene didn’t find any evidence of Atkins drinking, but a drug test showed he was over the limit for cocaine.
Atkins’ employer allowed him to use the Murciélago as a company car and insured him in it. However, his wreck ended the opportunity to keep enjoying the Italian supercar. According to The Daily Mail, the court banned Atkins from driving for 24 months, sentenced him to 150 hours of community service, and commanded him to pay 145 pounds ($210) in fines and court costs. After causing the Lambo to go up in flames, we don’t expect his boss to write a letter of recommendation for Atkins, either.
