Lamborghini is providing a sneak preview of a new aerodynamic body kit tailored to its baby bull, the Huracan.
No, before you get your hopes up too high, this is not the Huracan Superleggera. It’s merely an aero package for the standard model bringing a more aggressive look, but without the additional punch to match the beefier appearance. The factory-made kit costs a rather hefty $22,484 and adds more carbon fiber visible on the new front spoiler lip and the side skirts.
However, the biggest change is noticeable at the back where there’s a prominent fixed wing boosting downforce. Chances are the rear bumper has also received the carbon fiber treatment, but unfortunately it’s not visible from this angle. We will know that for sure once Lamborghini will release more renders of this Verde Mantis Huracan.
It’s all show without the extra go, so those who would rather have a more powerful Huracan will have to wait for the more hardcore version. We saw a prototype stretching on the Nürburgring earlier this month and noticed it had a new exhaust system akin to the track-only Huracan GT3. This new version is also expected to pack more than the 610 horsepower (449 kilowatts) of the 610-4 and will likely lose at least 110 pounds (50 kilograms) compared to the standard car.
Lamborghini could decide to introduce the meaner Huracan as early as October during the Paris Motor Show. In the meantime, expect a more detailed presentation of this aero kit for the standard model to occur in the near future.
