Model features revised styling and additional standard equipment
Porsche has introduced the new Cayenne Platinum Edition.
Set to go on sale later this year, the Cayenne Platinum Edition features a modestly revised exterior with gloss black accents and 20-inch RS Spyder alloy wheels. The special edition also comes with additional standard equipment including auto-dimming rearview mirrors, rear privacy glass, and a ParkAssist system. Other niceties include a Power Steering Plus system and bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System.
Interior changes are fairly limited but include eight-way power leather and Alcantara sport seats with embossed headrests. Drivers will also find a Porsche Communication Management system, a Bose surround sound system, and special sill plates with "Platinum Edition" badging.
In Europe, the Cayenne Platinum Edition will be offered with a 262 horsepower 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine and a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine and an electric motor. American consumers, on the other hand, will have a choice between the aforementioned plug-in hybrid variant and a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 300 hp.
European pricing starts at €74,352 for the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition and €90,298 for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition. In the United States, the Cayenne Platinum Edition will retail for $65,600 while the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Platinum Edition will start at $81,600.
