The 2017 Audi S5 Sportback has caught on video.

Filmed undergoing testing near the Nürburgring, the S5 Sportback has an evolutionary design that should appease fans looking for a stylish and practical hatchback.  Audi has done a pretty good job at disguising the model but we can see it will have a new front fascia with a larger grille that is flanked by angular headlights.  The sporty styling continues further back as there's a rakish windscreen, curvaceous bodywork, and a gently sloping roof.  The prototype has also been equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, lightweight alloy wheels, and a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system.

Interior changes will be fairly limited but drivers can expect to find a number of unique touches including Nappa leather / Alcantara sport seats, illuminated door plates, and brushed aluminum trim with a matte finish.

Audi has been relatively tight-lipped about the model but it will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine with 354 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.  The engine will be connected to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and a rear-biased qauttro all-wheel-drive system which should enable the S5 Sportback to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in approximately 4.8 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph.
