Concept celebrates the opening of the Shanghai Disney Resort on June 16th.
Currently on display at Auto China, the one-off model was jointly developed with Disney and pays "tribute to the ultimate experience of speed and power from the 2011 science fiction movie."
Styling changes are limited but the concept features a black exterior with metallic blue accents on the roof, grille and bumpers. The car has also been equipped with special wheels and tinted lighting units that have blue illumination.
The unique styling continues in the cabin as drivers will find two-tone leather seats, a leather-wrapped dashboard, and blue contrast stitching. Other highlights include gloss black trim, blue accents, and ice blue ambient lighting.
Chevrolet declined to release performance specifications but the Chinese-spec model is offered with two different engines including a naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 112 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque. The model can also be equipped with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine that develops 147 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque. The latter engine is connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which enables the Cruze to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 9.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 124 mph.
