Model consists of 2,704 different pieces.

Lego Technic has introduced its new scale model of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Developed in close cooperation with Porsche, the model is constructed from 2,704 different pieces and features a bright orange exterior with contoured surfaces.  Buyers will also find red suspension springs, an adjustable rear spoiler, and yellow brake calipers that hide behind realistic wheels.

The detailed styling continues in the cabin as Lego fans will find a realistic dashboard, racing seats, and a steering wheel with gearshift paddles.  There's even a glove compartment that contains a unique serial number which will enable buyers to access additional Lego-related content.

The Technic kit doesn't look particularly good but it has a six-cylinder boxer engine with moving pistons as well as a fully functional dual-clutch transmission with four gears.  The kit also comes with a comprehensive collector’s book that provides background information on the development of the model as well as insight into the assembly process of the road-going car.

The Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS will go on sale online and at select Lego stores, in Germany and Austria, on June 1st.  After the initial rollout, the model will be readily available from additional stores on August 1st.
