A purported official pic of Renault’s Koleos replacement has hit the web ahead of tomorrow’s reveal.
It was only earlier today when we posted a short teaser video with Renault’s brand new midsize SUV and now we bring what is believed to be an official image. It looks exactly like you would expect, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as the Talisman-derived appearance suits the Koleos replacement quite nicely, that is if this is indeed a render from Renault.
The diamond logo dominates the front fascia and is flanked by a pair of full LED headlights in the same vein as those of the Megane and Talisman. The grille is adorned with metallic fins and we also notice the underbody protection and several creases on the hood. It sits on 19-inch alloys featuring a two-tone design and housed within large wheel arches fitted with plastic body cladding.
Essentially Renault’s version of the Nissan X-Trail, the new midsize SUV will serve as a replacement for the Koleos and will be offered only with five seats. Being a sister model of the X-Trail, Renault’s high-riding model will use the same assortment of turbocharged four-cylinder engines hooked up to the same gearboxes and both front- and all-wheel-drive.
The wait is almost over as Renault just announced on its Facebook account a full reveal will take place tomorrow. Below we’ve attached two additional teaser videos, one showing the alloy wheels while the other provides a glimpse of the interior. Speaking of which, the cabin is set to be derived from the Talisman, so expect the portrait-styled touchscreen display of the R-Link 2 infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and some really comfy seats.
Special thanks go to Simon for sending us the tip. The image “accidentally” appeared on autoweek.nl, but it’s not available anymore.
