Limited edition model has a unique Centennial Blue metallic exterior with 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

BMW is celebrating its 100th anniversary by unveiling the 7 Series centennial edition.

Officially named the "BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years," the limited edition model has an exclusive Centennial Blue metallic exterior with forged 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels.  The car is also distinguished by handcrafted signets on the B pillars which say "The Next 100 Years."

The unique styling continues in the cabin as drivers will find Smoke White BMW Individual fine grain Merino leather upholstery and quilted seats with hand-woven piping.  Designers also installed an Alcantara headliner, piano black trim, and a BMW Individual steering wheel with wood accents.  Rounding out the changes are a “1 of 100” inscription on the center console and "The Next 100 Years" embossing on the headrests.

Customers who purchase the model will receive a unique “Montblanc for BMW” centennial fountain pen which has Centennial Blue metallic accents and a rhodium-plated Au750 gold Montblanc nib.

Three different engines will be available including a 4.4-liter V8 with 450 horsepower and a 6.6-liter V12 with 612 hp.  The company will also offer a plug-in hybrid variant with features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that develop a combined output of 326 hp.

Production will be limited to 100 units and only five models - based on the M760i xDrive - will be available in the United States.
