Infiniti has published a shadowy teaser for the QX Sport Inspiration set to premiere on April 25.
The concept uses the brand’s latest take on the “Powerful Elegance” design philosophy and from what we can see so far it adopts a muscular look and an imposing wide grille. The sleek full LED headlights have an interesting layout and seem to resemble eye lashes, while the beefy front fenders make the midsize SUV appear butch.
Also noticeable are the side cameras replacing the conventional mirrors, along with a bulging hood, and a vented front bumper. The wheels appear to be quite large and there seems to be plastic body cladding on the wheel arches to emphasize the concept’s ruggedness. Infiniti says the vehicle has received floating A-pillars and wide, muscular shoulders in the same vein as the Q60 concept.
Other details about the concept are not available at this point, but being a midsize SUV, we assume the QX Sport Inspiration serves as a preview for the next-generation QX70. The current model has been around for eight years, so it comes as no surprise that Nissan’s premium marque is getting ready to replace it. Chances are the all-new QX70 will be out towards the end of next year as a 2018MY.
We will have all the details about the QX Sport Inspiration on April 25 when the concept will be introduced at the Beijing Auto Show.
