Boat features a high-tech interior inspired by Aston Martin.

James Bond better stock up on sunscreen as Aston Martin and Quintessence Yachts have announced plans to introduce the AM37 at Milan Design Week.

Designed to capture the performance and style synonymous with the Aston Martin brand, the AM37 is the result of years of research and development.  The companies are keeping details under wraps but said the boat fuses the maritime and automotive worlds together as it offers a "perfect balance of design and engineering, performance and comfort, luxury and functionality."

Putting the marketing hyperbole aside for a minute, the AM37 has an impressive appearance as it features stylish lines and a wraparound windscreen with bright metal accents.  The boat also has teak decking and what appears to be a power retractable cover that protects the interior when the AM37 is docked.

Speaking of the cabin, it oozes luxury and style as it features premium leather seats, carbon fiber trim, and an Aston Martin-inspired steering wheel.  A closer inspection reveals a digital instrument cluster, a high-tech infotainment system, and a leather-wrapped throttle that resembles a gear selector.

In a statement, Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman said, “The most important attribute for Aston Martin is the language of design and we have transferred this language into AM37. The new powerboat represents the ideal combination of luxurious and technical materials, generating a powerful yet understated finished product.”
