This could very well be the 2017 Tesla Model S facelift bound to be officially revealed in a short while.
[update] Additional image added. We are not entirely sure, but there seems to be a camera mounted between the side mirror and the A pillar. If that's correct, most likely it will be put to good use in the upgraded Autopilot.
The facelifted Model S appears to adopt a revised front fascia that takes inspiration from the Model X SUV and the recently introduced Model 3. The image was obtained by the good folks over at Electrek and they say an official reveal is slated to occur later today.
From what we know at this point, the 2017 Model S will come with a slightly higher price tag and is expected to get a more diversified color palette, fresh wheel designs, and a new look for the headlights and taillights. In addition, it could also feature a more luxurious interior cabin with additional storage compartments.
New seats derived from those of the Model X are also on the agenda if we were to rely on the rumor mill. Also borrowed from the all-electric SUV will be the "Bioweapon Defense Mode" air filtration system.
More importantly, the all-electric sedan could gain more evolved Autopilot hardware and a new P100D model. This new flagship will have a 100-kWh battery pack with enough juice for a range of well over 300 miles (482 kilometers), perhaps even 320 miles (515 km).
Keep in mind these are all unconfirmed rumors at this point, so it’s better to wait for the official word from Tesla. In addition, we are not entirely sure this photo is 100% legit, so don't say we didn't warn you.
