Ford F-150 modified by Hennessey to hit the auction block on April 8.

Over the weekend we talked about a lovely 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition heading to Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach auction and now we have discovered another interesting vehicle. It’s a 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor modified by American tuner Hennessey. The “VelociRaptor” was featured in Top Gear series 22, episode 6 during which Jeremy Clarkson described the truck’s auxiliary light bar as being so bright like a “collapsed sun.” Besides the extra lights, the VelociRaptor also has modified front and rear bumpers, along with a different set of wheels.

Dressed in a Pennzoil Yellow livery, the high-performance pickup truck is motivated by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering a massive 623 horsepower and 627 pound-feet through a six-speed automatic transmission. That’s enough muscle to enable the heavily modified Ford F-150 reach 60 miles (96 kilometers) per hour from a standstill in as little as 5.2 seconds before topping out at 110 mph (177 kph).

It should be mentioned Hennessey has a variety of power boost programs tailored to the Raptor, with the strongest one dialing the engine up to a tire-shredding 800 horsepower.

We hope the vehicle will fetch a considerable amount of money taking into account that all proceeds will be directed towards the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) organization.
