Dacia is preparing for the next chapter of its history and the introduction of the second geneartion Duster SUV.

The Logan and Sandero are already in their second generations and the Duster is the only core model of the brand that remains almost unchanged since it was first launched in 2010. In 2013 Dacia applied a facelift for the SUV and now a report indicates a brand new Duster is coming next year.

Romanian publication ZF had the chance to talk with Laurens van den Acker, Renault Group's design boss, who confirmed the information. He also revealed the company will reveal facelifted versions of the Sandero and Logan at the Paris Motor Show this fall.

“In September, in Paris, we will have the facelifted Sandero and Logan,” van den Acker declared. “It's a mid-life restyling. For a big leap, we are waiting for the new Duster. Dacia, however, doesn’t have a large enough lineup to come up with something new every year.”

It’s too early even for preliminary details regarding the new Duster, but our source claims the Romanian brand will significantly raise the bar of quality. That’s pretty vague but it suggests the SUV could gain an interior with better materials, more optional features, and better fit and finish.
