Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced in Geneva this month a production version of the Multivan PanAmericana.

It started off as a concept for last year’s Frankfurt Motor show and now in Geneva the Multivan PanAmericana is showing its production face which isn’t all that different compared to the standard model. The special version comes with an additional 0.7 inches (20 mm) of ground clearance (not mandatory) and standard 17-inch alloy wheels, but you can upgrade to an optional 18-inch set.

Both front and rear bumpers come painted in a textured effect and there are unique front + rear underbody protections along with side sill attachments. The lower sides of the vehicle feature a stone guard film while the rear windows are tinted. In addition, the Multivan benefits from a Highline radiator grille, smoked LED taillights, and a PanAmericana logo adorning the B-pillars.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has also made some changes inside the cabin where we find a checker plate floor, rugged rubber floor mats, and entry lights with PanAmericana lettering. The customized Multivan benefits from a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a stainless steel look for the pedals, leather gear shift knob, and automatic climate control system.

It can be had as a front-wheel drive model or with a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system with all the engines of the regular Multivan, except for the 62 kW TDI unit.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has not published a price list for its newest addition to the range, but we won’t have to wait that long as the order books are set to open early May.
