The Aston Martin DB11 is about to become a sales hit for the company, according to a recent report.
Aston Martin’s latest supercar received its official premiere last week during the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and Autocar is reporting the automaker has already received more than 1,400 orders for the model.
The $211,995 (US price) V12 GT vehicle was ordered by around 500 customers at VIP preview events. Another 500 decided to buy the DB11 after seeing images on the internet and around 400 ordered it during the show in the capital of Switzerland.
Aston Martin is asking £154,900 in the UK, €204,900 in Germany, and $211,995 in United States for the sporty coupe. Deliveries will kick off in the fourth quarter of the year, but no exact date has been announced yet.
As a reminder, the DB11 comes with a newly developed biturbo 5.2-liter V12 engine that generates 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) at 6,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 516 pound-feet (700 newton-meters) from 1,500 rpm.
The most powerful DB model in history needs only 3.9 seconds to do the 0-62 miles per hour (0-100 kilometers per hour) sprint, hitting a maximum speed of 200 mph (322 kph).
