Morgan has finally dipped its toes into the 21th century with the unveiling of the EV3 but that doesn't mean the company is turning away from its past. This is clearly evident as the automaker used the Geneva Motor Show to introduce the 4/4 80th Anniversary Edition. Designed to celebrate an "automotive icon," the special edition features an assortment of styling cues inspired by the original model. These include quad bonnet straps, brass mesh grille, and retro-inspired with wheels with brass center locks. The model has also been equipped with special edition badging, a mohair roof, and a side-exiting exhaust system.

Morgan has finally dipped its toes into the 21th century with the unveiling of the EV3 but that doesn't mean the company is turning away from its past.  This is clearly evident as the automaker used the Geneva Motor Show to introduce the 4/4 80th Anniversary Edition.

Designed to celebrate an "automotive icon," the special edition features an assortment of components inspired by the original model.  These include quad bonnet straps, a brass mesh grille, and retro-inspired with wheels with brass center locks.  The car has also been equipped with special edition badging, a mohair roof, and a side-exiting exhaust system.

The old school styling continues in the cabin as designers installed a matte lacquered walnut dashboard and Period Smiths dials with brass embellishers.  Other highlights include leather seats, leather door pull handles, and an individually numbered plaque.

A Ford-sourced 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine resides under the hood and produces 110 horsepower and 97 pound-feet of torque.  It is connected to a five-speed manual transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 8.0 seconds before hitting a top speed of 115 mph.

Production will be limited to 80 units and the specail edition will be available in right and left hand driving configurations.
