The German aftermarket specialists from Lorinser have created a new tuning kit tailored to the Mercedes A Class facelift.

Currently in development, the package includes a revamped rear bumper with a replacement apron that features a revised diffuser design to make the premium five-door hatchback look sportier from behind. There is also a custom exhaust system with quad tips and you can also opt for one of the many alloy wheel designs ranging in sizes from 18 to 19 inches.

Matching the bolder appearance is a power boost for the Mercedes A250 4MATIC model which gains an extra 34 horsepower (25 kilowatts) to a grand total of 245 hp (182 kW) at 5,400 rpm. More significant is the torque bump from the series 258 pound-feet (350 newton meters) to 354 lb-ft (480 Nm.)

Lorinser isn’t saying a word about performance, but the extra muscle must have slashed a few tenths of a second from the sprint to 62 miles (100 kilometers) per hour. In the standard A250 4MATIC, it takes 6.4 seconds, so this tuned version probably completes the task in around 6.2 seconds. In addition, chances are the top speed has increased a little bit from the series 149 mph (240 kph.)

As far as pricing is concerned, Lorinser is asking €680 for the rear bumper add-on apron, €990 for the exhaust, and €990 for the power increase. It should be mentioned all prices exclude the value added tax.
