Alpina has announced the new B7 Bi-Turbo is coming to the UK, but it will only be available with a rear-wheel-drive layout.
The super sedan will receive its public debut in less than a week at the Geneva Motor Show before heading to the UK market in “very small numbers.” All UK-spec B7 Bi-Turbo units will come with RWD and just like other Alpinas, the latest model will be bundled with a BMW-endorsed two-year warranty.
Although an exact price tag has not been finalized, Alpina estimates the new model will kick off at around £115,000. For your money’s worth you will receive a high-performance fullsize luxury sedan featuring an Alpina-tuned biturbo 4.4-liter V8 engine pushing out 600 horsepower and 800 newton meters of torque. The immense power will be delivered through a revised eight-speed automatic transmission exclusively to the rear axle.
The hardware configuration will grant the B7 Bi-Turbo UK Spec with a sprint from a standstill to 62 miles (100 kilometers) per hour in only four seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 193 mph (310 kph.)
The UK-spec model will come as standard with an air suspension, Alpina-prepared active rear steering, and the Active Roll Stabilization system. It will ride on standard 20-inch Alpina Classic 20-spoke alloy wheels, but at an additional cost there’s going to be a new set of 21-inch forged alloys with visible wheel bolts.
The Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo will celebrate its official premiere on March 1 when the 86th Geneva Motor Show will begin.
