Chevrolet and the Daytona International Speedway have announced plans to build a special delivery center at the world famous race track.

Located in the infield adjacent to Gatorade Victory Lane, the new Chevrolet Delivery Center will resemble a traditional dealership and give customers the opportunity to accept delivery of their car at the track.  The final details are still being worked out but Chevrolet says customers who participate in the program will receive a tour of the Daytona International Speedway as well as a mysterious keepsake to commemorate the event.  More importantly, customers will be able to drive their new car on the track and receive a certificate of authenticity that confirms the car was delivered and driven at Daytona.

The Daytona delivery experience will be an extra cost option that will be offered to customers during the ordering process.  Dealers will be accepting reservations later this year and the Daytona delivery experience will only be available on select new vehicles.  Chevrolet declined to say which cars are eligible for the program but likely candidates include the Camaro and Corvette - sorry Spark and Suburban fans.

In a statement, General Motors North America President Alan Batey said, “Chevrolet is committed to offering our customers the best overall vehicle ownership experience possible ... and unique experiences that only Chevrolet can offer, like driving your first miles in your new vehicle at the famed Daytona International Speedway.”
