Modestly disguised, the updated model has a familiar design but adopts a new front fascia with a revised grille, restyled headlights, and larger air intakes. The rear end appears to carryover but the production model could feature some minor changes including updated taillights.
Audi has been tight-lipped about the facelifted model but it is expected to feature an updated interior with an optional Audi Virtual Cockpit system which includes a digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch display. There should also be an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay compatibility.
Power will likely be provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 296 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. It will be connected to an S tronic transmission and a quattro all-wheel-drive system which should enable the car to accelerate from 0-62 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph.
The facelifted Audi S3 Cabrio is expected to be introduced later this year and rumors suggest it could be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.
