Famous Italian design house Italdesign Giugiaro has published a teaser image depicting a brand new concept set to premiere next month at the Geneva Motor Show.

Details about the concept are not available at this point, but most likely the vehicle will demonstrate the company’s vision for the future of the car industry. The car has been reportedly styled under Italdesign’s design boss Filippo Perini who started this job back in September last year and previously he was in charge of design at Lamborghini.

It’s worth mentioning the design house is now entirely owned by the Volkswagen Group after company founder Giorgetto Giugiaro sold his remaining shares to Audi last year and left the firm.

The most recent concept unveiled by Italdesign Giugiaro is the rather spectacular GEA introduced at last year’s Geneva Motor Show. It was envisioned as a luxury sedan with autonomous driving capabilities and riding on a set of massive 26-inch alloy wheels. The concept was motivated by four electric motors working together with a battery pack featuring support for inductive charging.

As for this year’s concept, the attached teaser image indicates it will be some sort of a performance car and we won’t be too surprised if it has an alternative powertrain.

We will have all the details on March 1 when Italdesign Giugiaro will introduce its brand new concept in Geneva. Let’s not forget that Pininfarina also has something new to show us at the same event, a concept that will likely take the shape of a performance vehicle.
