Considered as being the last "true" Lamborghini, a special 1999 Diablo SV is on its way to the auction block.

The reason why it’s labeled as being the last entirely authentic Lamborghini is because it is believed to be the final car to leave the factory in Sant'Agata before Volkswagen took full ownership. At the same time, this is also the last Diablo SV built and the final Diablo to be imported into the UK. Lamborghini completed assembly of the supercar on December 21, 1999 and since then the car has covered just a little over 32,000 miles (51,500 kilometers.)

According to Silverstone Auctions, this right-hand drive example is believed to be the only one painted in a Pearl Red/Orange hue combined with a grey/black interior featuring leather and Alcantara. The car remains in a great mechanical condition after it received a chassis and suspension restoration worth more than £10,000 ($14,555) back in 2013. Later the same year, Grimaldi Engineering carried out a full geometry analysis and at the beginning of 2016 it was serviced once again.

Featuring a mighty 5.7-liter V12 engine pushing out 523 horsepower (390 kilowatts), this Diablo SV can hit 60 miles (96 kilometers) per hour in 3.9 seconds. It features a five-speed manual gearbox sending the engine’s power to the rear wheels, so you can imagine it takes some skills to tame the raging bull.

The seller mentions it is “still very much original” and hasn’t been damaged at all, but there are some minor paint defects. The interior remains in an overall good condition with the usual signs of wear and tear, along with a new Alpine sat-nav multimedia system with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

Silverstone Auctions will have the 1999 Lamborghini Diablo SV on sale during the Practical Classics Restoration and Classic Car Show on March 5-6. The supercar is estimated to fetch anywhere between £150,000 and £170,000 ($218,331 and $247,442.)
