In September last year Volkswagen introduced the R-Line sports package for the Golf Sportsvan and now it is already avaible to order.
Detailing the additional equipment, the German company has released new photos and has announced the package starts at $1,146 (€1,105). The compact family van now can be equipped with a sports exterior R-Line pack that includes new front and rear bumpers, side sill extensions, distinctive air intakes, R-Line logo on the radiator grille and on the side panels, dark red taillights, and anodized silver roof rails.
Those who want the same sporty feeling in the interior will have to pay $2,032 (€1,800). The complete package of R-Line equipment consists of Race seat upholstery with inner side supports in San Remo microfiber fabric, multifunction leather-trimmed steering wheel with R-Line logo, stainless steel pedals and footrest, and front door sill plates in aluminum. Optionally customers can get 17-inch Salvador alloy wheels or 18-inch alloys in three different designs.
Currently, the Golf Sportsvan is offered with three petrol and two diesel units with power ranging from 110 horsepower (81 kW) to 150 hp (110 kW). Six-speed manual, six-speed automatic, and seven-speed automatic gearboxes are available depending on the engine.
