BMW is introducing a special edition of the 4 Series Gran Coupe dubbed “In Style” specifically created for the Japanese market.

It seems BMW customers in Japan have a soft spot for special editions as in recent years we have seen a great deal of limited-run models. However, in most cases these cars don’t actually have something truly special as you can easily customize the regular model with most of the goodies offered on the so-called special edition. Case in point, this 4 Series Gran Coupe In Style is basically a 420i fitted with the M Sport Package and some other extra equipment.

The limited-run four-door coupe from Bavaria benefits from adaptive LED headlights and rides on 19-inch double-spoke alloy wheels featuring a two-tone satin aluminum look that blends nicely with the Mineral Gray body paint.

Stepping inside the cabin, it comes with a Dakota leather upholstery with a saddle brown finish matched with an elegant wood trim on the dashboard, center console, and door handles. As a final touch, BMW applied pearl gloss chrome highlights here and there to spice up the cabin even further.

There aren’t any mechanical changes, so the 420i has the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower (135 kW) and 200 pound-feet (270 Nm) of torque sent to the road via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

BMW Japan is already taking orders for the 4 Series Gran Coupe In Style and will sell only 200 units at a starting price of ¥6,230,000 ($52,525).
