If you are a fan of Bertone’s and Gandini’s work, chances are you will appreciate the hypothetical Fiat XXX envisioned by Idecore and Maltese Design. The render proposes a new sports car from Fiat with cues from models styled by the two designers between the 1970s and 1990s.

The body is built around a carbon fiber tub sourced from the Alfa Romeo 4C, so the idea was to create a lightweight two-seater that is fun to drive. A potential production model wouldn't require breaking the bank compared to models from more prestigious automakers.

The authors see the Fiat XXX powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine found in a variety of models from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The motor is available in different states of tune, including a 170-hp version in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Speaking of which, the concept is imagined with Giulietta's Dual Pinion Active Steering system along with the twin clutch transmission.

Keep in mind this is purely a design project and has nothing to do with FCA. That being said, we wouldn’t mind seeing a real production model or at least a fullsize concept.
