Japanese tuner Aimgain has created quite a stir at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon with an extravagant body kit for the Lamborghini Aventador.

If you are a fan of outlandish tuning programs like the ones from Liberty Walk, most likely you are going to enjoy Aimgain’s take on the Aventador. It might not be as crazy as LW’s work, but nevertheless this particular Lamborghini is certainly a love/hate project. Work started at the front where the redesigned bumper hosts large vents and is connected to a prominent splitter to create an SV-like look.

The profile reveals a custom suspension turning the Aventador into a low rider with two-tone wheels and carbon fiber side skirt attachments to boost the visual impact. Without any doubt, the pièce de résistance is at the back where Aimgain has installed a massive wing made from carbon fiber. It’s matched with a huge diffuser hosting dual tailpipes part of the aftermarket exhaust system.

The end result is not exactly our cup of tea, but with a smaller wing, less in-your-face diffuser, and an increased ride height, we could definitely see this work.

Let’s not forget Lamborghini itself made a crazy version of the Aventador by launching the limited-run Veneno back in 2013. A “Centenario” model will be out in the following weeks and that one too will be based on the Aventador. Suffice it to say, we are anxious to see what the designers from Sant’Agata Bolognese have prepared to celebrate 100 years since the birth of company founder Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborghini.
