Mitsubishi has created a quartet of rugged concepts for this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon which kicks off on Friday.

The Detroit Auto Show is currently in the spotlight, but the Tokyo Auto Salon is right around the corner, so better prepare for a series of concepts. Mitsubishi will be there with two pairs based on the Outlander PHEV and Delica D5, respectively.

The Outdoor Gear concepts share matte pearl white paintjobs spiced up with orange trims. The interiors will have a black theme featuring orange accents and mesh fabric seats with suede trim.

The Outlander sits on 20-inch rims wrapped in off-road tires and gets a number of enhancements such as a roof-mounted bike rack along with a rear spoiler.

As for the Delica D5 minivan, it benefits from LED daytime running lights, faux carbon front bumper, special 16-inch wheels, and brush guards.

The Active Camper concepts have a matte silver paint with black camo pattern and ride on 20-inch wheels. The Outlander uses an adjustable suspension and wears a custom body kit featuring a roof box and there’s also 1,500-watt of auxiliary power.

On the other hand, the Delica D5 can be visually distinguished by its sportier grille and brush guards.

All four concepts will share the spotlight in Tokyo with a replica of the rally-spec Outlander PHEV prepared for the Baja Portalegre 500 event. JDM fans should know the Tokyo Auto Salon will open its doors on Friday and close on Sunday.
