Lotus has launched a new personalization service called Lotus Exclusive.

Created by the Lotus Design team, the personalization service will allow customers to tailor vehicles to own their unique tastes.

Customers will be presented with a variety of different options and dealerships will have examples on hand to show potential buyers.  Highlights include an extensive color palette that consists of both heritage options such as the Essex Blue that was used on the 1980 Essex Commemorative Lotus Esprit Turbo.  The company will also offer a color matching service as well as matte, gloss, metallic, and pearlescent paint jobs.

Speaking of the exterior, Lotus Exclusive offers an assortment of graphics including racing stripes and a Union Jack logo which can be applied to the roof.

Surprisingly, there aren't many interior changes but Lotus will offer "five suggested leather colors and four stitch colors."

In a statement, Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales said “In the past we have created a number of cars personalized to the specific requests of individual customers. These stunning cars were produced by a team of skilled craftsmen and women, using their expertise to create something exceptional and unique for the customer. Now all our customers will be offered this service, to create their own personalized car through Lotus Exclusive.”

The Lotus Exclusive personalization service is available on all models sold in Europe.  The program will expand to additional markets in the future but there's no word on whether or not the United States will be one of them.
