Callaway Cars is previewing a beefy upgrade tailored to the 2016 Chevy Camaro set to receive a supercharger kit.

Using technologies developed for the Corvette Z06 SC757, Callaway is ready to apply its expertise on the new Camaro in both coupe and convertible guises. The American tuner says it can create the most powerful Camaro of the latest generation by taking the 6.2-liter V8 engine to more than 600 horsepower while keeping the car entirely street-legal. That’s a major boost over the standard 455 hp output and it’s all possible by implementing the TVS 2300cc supercharger.

Once installed, Callaway says the 2016 Camaro is transformed into a proper supercar benefiting from “superb drivability.” The supercharger will protrude through the hood and will come together with other upgrades, such as a bespoke intercooler system and a custom cold air intake. The kit also encompasses the usual exterior and interior badging, along with special door sill panels, key fobs, and embroidered floor mats.

Callaway is selling the supercharger kit for the high-performance Chevy with a three-year / 36,000-mile limited warranty and you’ll also get an authenticity documentation package. At an additional cost, buyers can opt for the extended five-year / 60,000-mile powertrain service.

The tuner is already taking pre-orders for the SC600 package that can be had on both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic models. Pricing kicks off at $54,290, including the base Camaro SS Coupe.
