Star Wars is dominating the box office but that hasn't stopped Kia from unveiling an X-Men themed Sportage ahead of its debut at the Australian Open.

Designed to promote X-Men: Apocalypse, the one-off model draws inspiration from the character Mystique who is played by Jennifer Lawrence.  As a result, the Sportage features a blue wrap which resembles Mystique's skin.  The crossover also has a two-tone roof, black accents, and a revised grille with an "X" emblem.  Other highlights include lightweight wheels and a massive "X" on the tailgate.

Kia declined to say what powers the model but the US-spec Sportage is available with two different engines.  Entry-level variants are equipped with a naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower (134 kilowatts) and 175 foot-pounds (237 newton meters) of torque, while the range-topping Sportage SX Turbo boasts a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 hp (179 kW) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque.

Regardless of what's under the hood, Kia will promote the movie tie-in by releasing a special video that stars global brand ambassador Rafael Nadal on January 4th.  The automaker says the clip will show Nadal fighting X-Men villain Apocalypse with the help of the aforementioned X-Car.
