Mercedes-Benz is now taking orders for the S-Class Cabriolet in Europe for the S500 and S63 versions.

It was only yesterday when Mercedes kicked off production of the S-Class Cabriolet in Sindelfingen and now we finally have pricing details, at least for the German market. At home it will begin at $151,088 (€139,051) for the S500 version and from $203,714 (€187,484) for those willing to upgrade to the Mercedes-AMG S63 4MATIC. The V12-powered S65 will be commercially available starting April 4 when pricing will be disclosed.

As a reminder, the “entry-level” S500 Cabriolet is equipped with a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 engine pushing out 449 hp (335 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. It runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) journey in only 4.6 seconds and is electronically-restricted to a maximum velocity of 155 mph (250 km/h). Pay more for the S63 and Mercedes-AMG will reward you with a beefier twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 that churns 577 hp (430 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm). This one does the sprint in as little as 3.9 seconds and has the same governed top speed.

As for the S65, it will be substantially more expensive than the S63 and will come with a larger twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 generating 621 hp (463 kW) and a mighty 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). The crown jewel will cover the sprint in 4.1 seconds and as you might have guessed already, it will be restricted to 155 mph (250 km/h).

The sixth member of the S-Class family, the Cabriolet has a drag coefficient of 0.29 and comes fitted with a three-layer acoustic soft top. For an extra $7,046 (€6,485), clients can opt for the AMG Line kit bringing AMG-specific front & rear aprons and side skirts, titanium grey 21-inch five-double-spoke wheels, and a “diamond” radiator grille with chrome pins. On the inside it gets a high-gloss black poplar wood trim, AMG velour floor mats, and brushed stainless steel sports pedals with rubber studs.

There’s also an Exclusive Package for $8,611 (€7,925) if you go for the S500 and $6,412 (€5,902) for the S65. It adds exclusive designo nappa leather upholstery, metal designo badges, designo roof liner, and sun blinds in DINAMICA microfibre. This kit also encompasses door sills with illuminated "Mercedes-Benz" lettering, velour floor mats with designo metal badges, and a stainless steel boot sill.

The AIRCAP automatic draft shield system jacks up the price by a further $1,280 (€1,178) and you can also order the optional AIRSCARF neck-level heating system for an additional $840 (€773). The S-Class Cabriolet can also be ordered with a Warmth Comfort Package priced at $555 (€511) which adds three-tier heated armrests on the doors and center console, along with a heated steering wheel.

Note: Pricing refers to German market and includes 19% VAT.
