Ford has introduced the new Focus Black and Red Editions in Europe.

Looking virtually identical to Germany's Focus Sport Edition, the Black and Red Editions are based on the Focus hatchback and wagon.  The Black Edition has a Panther Black exterior with Race Red accents on the roof, mirrors, and grille surround while the Red Edition reverses this theme as it has a Race Red exterior with Panther Black accents. Both models are also equipped with a black grille, a Race Red diffuser, and unique 18-inch alloy wheels with a Panther Black finish.

Moving on the interior, drivers will find a leather-wrapped steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and Race Red contrast stitching.

Under the hood, a variety of different engines will be available.  Petrol choices include a 1.0-liter EcoBoost with 123 hp (125 PS / 92 kW) and a 1.5-liter EcoBoost with outputs of 148 hp (150 PS / 110 kW) and 179 hp (182 PS / 133 kW).  Diesel fans can opt for either a 1.5-liter TDCi engine with 118 hp (120 PS / 88 kW) or a 2.0-liter TDCi engine with 148 hp (150 PS / 110 kW).  Regardless of which engine is selected, all are paired to a six-speed manual transmission.

Last but not least, the special editions are equipped with a sport-tuned suspension that has stiffer springs, new shock absorbers, and an "optimized" anti-roll bar.

The Focus Black and Red Editions are currently available to order and pricing will vary by market.
