A second-generation Audi R8 V10 Plus sustained heavy damages during a test drive several days ago in the UK.
A potential customer took this Vegas Yellow example for a test drive from Watford Audi. However, his lack of skills obliterated the R8 and most likely the supercar will end up as a write-off. According to preliminary info, the driver clipped a curb and eventually flipped the car, ending with the wheels facing the sky. The damages are quite substantial and probably the vehicle is not worth repairing given its current condition.
In the end, all that matters is the driver didn’t suffer any serious injuries and will be ok. Judging by the severity of the damages, the impact took place at a considerable speed, but the safety equipment kicked in and ultimately saved the driver.
Seeing the Audi R8 V10 Plus in such a bad shape is not exactly pleasant, but hopefully there’s a lesson to be learned from all of this: money can’t buy driving skills. This is even more evident when dealing with high-powered vehicles such as this one with a V10 5.2-liter engine pushing out 610 hp. It does have quattro, but that doesn’t mean it can save you at all times, especially in this particular situation where the road was a bit damp.
