[UPDATE] Additional pics added.

Set to be revealed in full later today, the Volvo S90 is making an early unofficial debut thanks to a leaked side profile image.

We’ve seen the all-new S90 in a ridiculous amount of pics showing scale models, but now we finally get a better look at the much-awaited S80 replacement. It turns out those scale models weren’t telling the whole truth as the premium mid-size sedan from Sweden looks way more attractive. It seems to have a relatively low roofline that gives it a sleek profile in the same vein as the Audi A7 Sportback.

Up front are those fancy Thor’s Hammer LED daytime running lights we’ve seen in the XC90, along with a prominent grille and an elongated hood. We’re not really sure, but the S90 appears to be significantly longer than the outgoing S80, especially if you look at the size of the rear doors. Those stylish double-spoke alloy wheels make it more elegant and blend nicely with the car’s paint.

Although we can’t really see the rear end, those scale models showed it with a set of big C-shaped taillights and large “Volvo” lettering on the trunk lid.

Check back later today for the full scoop as Volvo will premiere the S90 in about 8 hours from now at a special event organized at home in Gothenburg.
