The 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV featured in the famous HBO series The Sopranos was bought recently at an auction for no less than $119,776.83.

It was used on screen by the late James Gandolfini in his role of Tony Sporano during the last three seasons of the award-winning show. It’s actually one of the two identical vehicles originally leased for the show and this particular Escalade was used for both exterior and in shots. According to RR Auction, the Escalade was Tony’s personal car and was featured in a famous chase scene from season five.

The vehicle had a starting bid of $5,000 and in the end the auction's winner agreed to pay $119,776.83 (about €112,325 / £79,441). The Escalade ESV was actually signed by James Gandolfini himself on the driver’s side sun visor, glove box, and on the back of the driver’s seat headrest.

It has been driven for 108,969 miles (175,360 km) and was stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse. Moreover, the engine was started on a weekly basis to preserve the vehicle's reliability. The vehicle's VIN is "3GYFK66N13G284596" and comes with a "42QVLT" New Jersey license plate number.

We remind you the great actor passed away at the age of only 51 in June 2013 after a heart attack during a vacation in Rome, Italy.
