Roewe has released the first teaser images of a new concept car called the Vision R, which will make its premiere during the 2015 Guangzhou Motor Show from 20 to 29 November.
What we’ve got here are three teaser illustrations revealing the basic design characteristics of the upcoming Roewe Vision R concept that will receive its debut on November 20 in Guangzhou. It’s still too early to give final conclusions, but it seems we are dealing with a two-door sports coupe featuring sleek lines and sloping roofline. The front end is dominated by a massive radiator grille and sweptback LED headlights, while at the back we see a distinctive diffuser with twin exhaust pipes and slim C-shaped taillights.
The interior sketch doesn’t reveal much but it will likely feature a 2+2 seat configuration, while the dashboard seems to be equipped with a large display. There’s also an aircraft-inspired steering wheel, as well as ergonomic seats.
According to rumors, this concept could be previewing the future design language of the brand and the successor of the aging Roewe 750. The model was launched in 2006 and is based on the Rover 75, which in turn was revealed back in 1998. It is offered with a 2.5-liter V6 naturally aspirated engine and a 1.8 turbo, both paired to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
