Mitsubishi has announced plans to auction off the first production unit of the 2015 Lancer Evolution Final Edition to benefit the National MS Society.

It’s the end of the line for Mitsubishi’s iconic Lancer Evolution as this Final Edition will conclude the model’s production run with a last batch of 1,600 units and the first of the bunch will be auctioned to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Bidding has already kicked off at $37,201.05 on eBay and will come to an end on November 21 during the MS Dinner Auction at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado, California.

Based on the GSR model, the 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition is offered as standard with bi-xenon HID headlights, a black aluminum roof and a subtle glossy black exterior package. It also gets some tweaks inside such as the special "Final Edition" animation on the meter display, an individually numbered plaque, red stitching and black accents here and there to spice up the cabin even further.

Motivation is provided by a 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine 303 bhp (226 kW) and 305 lb-ft (413 Nm) sent via a five-speed manual gearbox to an all-wheel drive system. Other goodies offered as standard include two-piece lightweight Brembo front brake rotors, Bilstein shock absorbers, Eibach springs and a tire pressure monitoring system.
