The man behind Auditography has sent us several high quality images of a brand new Audi R8 he had the privilege of shooting in Malmö, Sweden.

The pictures show a second generation R8 in the range-topping V10 Plus guise painted in the Mythos Black metallic hue like the one from the Audi Zentrum Frankfurt in Germany we talked about at the beginning of this month. Although it has a prohibitive starting price of €187,400, the R8 V10 Plus is still a lot cheaper than the Lamborghini Huracan and offers almost identical performance, but obviously it doesn’t have the same level of appeal as the Sant’Agata Bolognese model.

This Mythos Black paint is available without any extra costs while those 19-inch wheels with 245/35 R 19 front and 295/35 R 19 rear tires are also standard, but you can upgrade to a 20-inch set available in three designs for an additional €1,500.

As you can imagine, Audi offers a plethora of visual enhancements for their latest and greatest supercar and you can get the side blades in any color you desire courtesy of Audi’s Individual customization program, but it will add €1,080 to the final bill. As for the body, an Individual color with a matte finish can cost you as much as €7,400.

If the starting price of the Plus version is too much, the base model can be had for €165,000 or you can wait for the new entry-level version likely coming in 2017 with a downsized turbocharged engine which will be substantially cheaper. This will act as a successor of the first-gen V8 variant and reports suggest it will get either a V6 3.0-liter or a 5-cylinder 2.5-liter. Whichever it will be, the motor is expected to employ e-turbo technology.
